Latitude E7470 BSOD

We are beginning to deploy Latitude E7470's -> 64 bit Image on Windows 7, via a K2000 Deployment Appliance.  We are using a standard image, that works for other systems.  We are also using the Driver Feed.

Pretty much every E7470 that we image and deploy, constantly BSOD's - usually when someone signs into the unit (if they sign in via RDP, it works fine).  This is true for General Staff, as well as IT.  I have tried to run the BSOD tools to find what is causing the issue - but all I can tell is it is Driver Related - but I cannot ascertain which one it is (all I get is ntoskrnl).

I have seen some posts from others with the same issues - many pointing to the Chipset driver as the problem - but so far no one has provided a solution to correct it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How do you create your images? Do you create a Golden/Master image with no drivers then inject them on deployment or is it an image that is loaded up with drivers? - Rob_Cliffeild 7 years ago
    • It is a Master Image, with no Drivers. Drivers are injected using the Driver Feed. Image works for all our units, from E6400 -> E7450. It is only with the E7470's we are having problems. Looking online I see a number complaining of issues deploying the E7470 with BSOD - but not much in the way of solutions. However some are pointing to the Intel Chipset/USB 3.0 drivers and the Dell CAB being wrong. - hutcha4113 7 years ago
      • That sucks if multiple people are having the same issue. Have you had a chance to contact dell technical support to see if they have a solution or a development driver pack that you can try? - Rob_Cliffeild 7 years ago
  • We had a similar issue, ours was caused by Avast.
Have you tried it with no software installed, just the base machine and drivers? - HISDTechGuy 7 years ago
