How can I tell which (if any) Replication Server a client is assigned to / using?

I know the obvious answer would be by label & which rep server is assigned to that label.  I'm looking for a way to verify this on the client side.  I've tried searching some of the client side KACE logs for the expected replication server name & IP, but have not had any luck.  I'm wondering what's going on as I've seen the replication server in question working properly in the past by watching connections by running fsmgmt.msc & network traffic via task manager while patching.  This replication server is NOT set to "Failover to Appliance", so I'm wondering how the workstations at this location are being patched when there's no activity on the designated replication server during patch deployment.  All of the computers at this site are Windows 7 Pro x64.  Thanks in advance for the help!

The systems replicate the patches before you patch.
During the patching run usually no replication to the local machine are made.
You will find the patches in c:\programdata\dell\kace\patches

If they aren't set to failover to the K1000 and there is no download activity from the replication share, then those systems are not being patched by the K1000 agent. You can see more information (including errors) in the KAgent.log file in C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\user directory.

  • That file is massive! When I search KAgent.log for the IP address of the Rep server, or the Rep server name, nothing is returned. Is the Rep server being used supposed to be recorded in this log? Thanks! - cpuaffinity 9 years ago
    • You'll see the file dependency downloads in KAgent.log. This would tell you from where the agent is pulling files (K1000 or rep share). If you'd like assistance with this, please contact Dell KACE support. - airwolf 9 years ago
