How can i automate the deployment of an application created in VB6?

Hi,

We have been sent install files for an application called Caspar (Trojan Consultants ltd) which has been written in Visual Basic 6. For the client machines there are 2 things to install (Caspar_setup and Reporrts_Setup). Both these folders contain a setup.exe (Setup bootstrap for vb setup toolkit), a CAB file and an LST file.

We need to push these client installs out to PC's on the network via GPO in Active Directory

I have tried wrapping these into an msi file using Windows Installer wrapper wizard with no luck

Is this possible another way?

Thanks

Yes, by re-packaging as an MSI.

Download the free AppDeploy Repackager from IT Ninja (which used to be called 'AppDeploy', back in the day when it wasn't over-run with question about Kace!)

I have done those apps at a site, I captured them into an MSI. I think we have done them in the last year in App-V.
